Hello again folks. Well I said I would say no more regarding the Sco…ish cup but sorry that damn competition has once again flaber my gasted. Honestly the latest episode you just could not make up and this was before a ball had been kicked in this season's competition. For various reasons I cannot at the moment say any more but what I will say is if you are in this competition then hold on to your hats it's gonna be one bumpy ride!!!!

First side not to phone in this season... step forward Birkhill no result from you yesterday. Nothing wrong with the answer machine and just in case anybody fancies using that as an excuse this season ….think again!! If there is no result on the machine you are fined as per constitution and all fines will be payable monthly this season. One Scottish tie that did go ahead saw Club 67 overcome Saints Club from Perth 7-3. A hat trick each from Big Lee Roleveldt and George Murphy with Scott Robertson notching a single. Well done lads all the very best for the next round …you will definitely need it!!

The Pilot Garage First Division saw Blackness and Tallys maintain their 100% records. Blackness edged out Ferry Innter by the odd goal in three at Fairmuir Park. Not much between the sides as Innter got back to something like form after recent slip ups. A Beckhamesque free kick from Mikey Carlin for Innter with Wayne 'No 10' Lorimer and Chris 'Foxy' Fox on target for the pacesetters. Tallys had too much for struggling Angus Thistle at Downfield despite the Jags taking a lead in the first minute. A further goal from Davie Robb only a consolation as Tally came back to win 5-2. Jags, Stewart Hutt was in good spirits despite another defeat. "We played quite well in spells and maybe there is a bit of light at the end of the tunnel".

Doc Ferrys and Thomsons Academical produced a seven goal cracker at Dawson park as the Broughty side edged it 4-3. Two goals from Scott Soutar, one a terrific overhead kick with counters from Ross Shannon and a Steve McKinnon penalty.. Michelin are the only side left with a 100% record in the Strathmore Glazing Premier Division. The factory side's 4-2 home win over Harlequins leaving them top and out in front as Cutty Sark lost for the first time this season as Tayport beat them 2-0 at Drumgeith.

It took Douglas Athletic until the 85th minute to find a way past a terrific hardworking Lochee Central side. Danny Moir broke the deadlock and minutes later Matthew Leitch slotted home a penalty to secure the points. This was a welcome return to form for the Champions who were back to full strength and it showed. Lochee will play worse and win this season, it was that kind of game between two good sides.

And Finally what about this for a thought... is international football just a complete load of useless nationalistic, jingoistic, patriotic shite? After watching a hopeless World Cup we thought the Euros could not get any worse….WRONG..What a load of absolute pish, players who can't pass, can't shoot, can't trap a ball, and in general overpaid, underworked prima donnas!! and that's just Scotland. Give me a real game like womans rugby anyday!!!! Wahey

That's it... take care... Alex.
